Colorful blossoms as far as the eye can see, charming garden culture and exciting events: The egapark Erfurt in the middle of Germany offers all of this.  In the themed gardens, outdoor shows and the annually changing design of the Great Flowerbed, garden lovers and flower enthusiasts will always find inspiration. On guided tours with the egapark experts or round trips with the egapark Express, visitors go on an informative tour of the garden park. Children will find their place in the GärtnerReich, the new play and adventure world. Numerous events for young and old complete the offer. There is much to discover on the 36-hectare site with its eventful history. Visit egapark at any time of the year!

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There are eight marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
  • The path from the car park to the entrance is 30 m long. It is easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 5 % over a distance of 25 m.
  • Nearby is the station egapark - line 2.
  • The park is steplessly accessible via an elevator. The elevator cabin measures 130 cm x 170 cm. The elevator door is 110 cm wide.
  • Almost all evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible  or via ramps.
  • The ramp has a maximum gradient of 5 % and a total length of 12 m. Exception: the ramp to Hall 1 has a maximum gradient of 11 % of 7 m.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
  • Exception: the wc-door „Pflanzencafe is 85 cm wide.
  • External paths are at least 150 m wide and easy to walk on and drive on and have a maximum longitudinal gradient of up to 7 %. Exception: the path in the Japanese Garden has a maximum gradient of 10 % of 20 m.
  • There is seating available.
  • The exhibits/ objects are predominately visible when seated.
  • The information on the exhibits/ objects is predominately readable when seated.
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables available n the gastronomy areas (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
  • Guided tours for people with walking impairments and wheelchair users are offered. A reservation in advance is necessary.
  • The entire route of the guided tour is steplessly variable for wheelchair users.
  • Offered aids: rollators, wheelchair, transfer wheelchair, handcart.
